Who are you?
We, Jos (Shipbuilding) and Marjolein (Hoge Hotelschool), changed course in 2003 with the purchase of the ‘Vrouwe Frida Cornelia’. A clipper barge with a lot of work, which craftsman Jos has turned into a beautiful ship over the years. Living on board, sailing in the summer with guests on the IJsselmeer and Wad; and meanwhile our family grew with three skipper children. In 2014 Koos Oudhuis asked us whether we would like to take over his clipper ‘Friendship’ from him; one of the first sailing charters from Monnickendam. He knew his beloved ship would be in good hands with us.
What characterizes you as skippers?
We are extremely hospitable, service-oriented and flexible. We enjoy what we do and you can tell. From the personal approach from the first contact, thinking along for the implementation of the program up to the sailing day itself; everything is done. And last but not least: in the galley the tastiest snacks and dishes are freshly prepared for you with great care and creativity. Marjolein’s hotel school background is highly appreciated by many guests!
What do you give your guests?
A carefree day on the water! Get away from it all; whether that be with family and friends or with colleagues or business relationship. Our motto is everything is allowed and nothing is necessary. From an active adventure to a relaxed sailing day.
