Day trip

Together with your family, friends or colleagues, opt for a wonderful day of sailing on board one of the beautiful sailing ships of Zeilvloot Monnickendam.

Before you get on board, you can walk through the beautiful historic town of Monnickendam. The skipper welcomes you with coffee, tea and some sweets. The ropes go loose, the sails go up. With or without your help. Have a chat, make it a team building or meeting day, celebrate an anniversary (or even your wedding!) or simply enjoy the silence and nature around you.

Tip: on some ships you can also sail individually to, for example, the Marker Wadden, Pampus or Sail Amsterdam. Or participate in a themed tour, such as yoga or meditation. Keep an eye on their website or social media.

Lunch on board or rather in Volendam, Edam or Marken? It’s all possible. A photo in traditional costume, a guided tour or a visit to an eel smokehouse? You call and we organize. We know the possibilities like the back of our hand.

Then slowly back to Monnickendam, while enjoying a relaxing drink and something delicious. Lower the sails, set the deck aside and on to the conclusion of this special day, dinner.

Enough restaurants in Monnickendam, but anchoring for a while and finishing with a real ship’s dinner or barbecue is definitely recommended. The skippers and their mates don’t turn a blind eye to that either.

Evening trip

An evening trip with family, friends or colleagues is of course also wonderful. Drinks and accompanying snacks are ready upon arrival. Leave the day behind and choose the open seas of the Gouwzee. Sail up and enjoy. From the beautiful last rays of the day, with a little luck the sunset, the rich aquatic life, nature and the fresh air. And each other’s company.

The crew lovingly prepares a delicious dinner, which can be put together entirely according to your wishes. At the end of the evening it is beautiful to sail into Monnickendam, with its church towers and many lights. We promise an evening to look back on.
