Who are you?
Jos Rodewijk, passion for water:
Born and raised in the South Holland lake area, I quickly learned to deal with the water. At the age of twelve I was already sailing independently. When I was later able to turn this passion for water into my profession, I seized the opportunity with both hands.
Danny Honig, passion for good food:
As a descendant of a well-known soup makers family, the love for cooking was already in the genes. With parents who both travel on the Holland-America Line, I now combine both worlds by taking care of the catering on the Catharina van Mijdrecht.
What characterizes you as skippers?
With 25 years of experience on historic sailing ships, we feel unerringly what our guests expect from their sailing trip. Without being explicitly present, we ensure a pleasant and safe stay on board our ship.
What do you give your guests?
Our ship is all about experience. Whether you stay on board for a few hours or several days, we offer our guests an experience that they will talk about for a long time to come. Young or old, passionate sailor or passive connoisseur; everyone feels at home at the Catharina van Mijdrecht.
