Possibilities for a Buffet

The ships of the Monnickendam Sailing Fleet can offer various buffet options. Because these vary per ship, here is an overview of the possibilities:

  • High tea buffet with, for example, coffee/tea, sandwiches savory/sweet, scones, muffins, chocolates, petit fours, pastries
  • Brunch buffet with, for example, luxury sandwiches, yogurt, soups, hot and cold side dishes, including boiled or scrambled eggs
  • Lunch buffet with, for example, freshly made soups, luxury rolls, hot and cold side dishes such as sausage rolls or croquettes, salads, fresh fruit
  • Dinner buffet with, for example, Italian or Spanish cuisine, traditional Dutch “stamppot” or Indonesian “rice table”

If you would like information about a specific buffet for your group, please contact us. We can take most dietary requirements into account, if notified in advance. Almost anything is possible.

Possibilities for a Barbecue

An extensive BBQ on board of one of the ships of the Monnickendam Sailing Fleet is a delicious addition to your sailing trip in the fresh air. A barbecue is a perfect ending to the day, but can also be fitted into a sailing arrangement when the ship anchors foir a break.

The possibilities for a BBQ package are legion. They range from a standard BBQ package with a choice of several types of meat and fish, to a very luxury package with, for example, lamb cutlets or delicious prawns. Of course the barbecues are served with various sauces, crusty bread with creamy herb butter and freshly made salads.

Possibilities for snacks

During a great day’s sailing, the ships of the Monnickendam Sailing Fleet can also provide you with snacks to go with your drinks. This can be a cheese/sausage platter, but there can also be Dutch tapas, various nuts and savory pretzels, crackers with toppings or more substantial savory food, such as sausage rolls or cheese sandwiches.

Possibilities for drinks

During each sailing trip there are opportunities for having a drink. Because this varies per ship, below is a summary of the various possibilities:

  • Coffee and tea with cookies or fresh Apple pie, cheesecake or other pastry
  • Various (organic) juices and soft drinks
  • Welcome drink: a skipper bitter or a glass of prosecco or champagne
  • Dutch bar: softdrinks, wine, beer and Dutch spirits
  • Extensive bar: as above, but including international spirits
