Who are you?
Years ago we ended up in the world of flat-bottomed and sailing fishing. After building and sailing on friends’ ships for a while, we bought our first fishing vessel in 2002, the BiW16. The WON119 followed in 2008, a Lemsteraak from 1908. After two years of restoring our ship with a recognized monumental status, we were ready to sail the first trips with her.

For us, sailing on these old ships means dealing with weather, wind, water and tides. We combine sailing with the WON119 with our jobs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. For us, the WON119 is a nice counterpart to the hectic life in the city. We founded Zeilwerk to share that feeling with others.

What characterizes you as skippers?
Don’t expect a strict drill sergeant from us. We like sailing, but sailing is not the only thing that matters. Being active for those who want to, but also plenty of room for good conversations, conviviality and good food and drinks are indispensable elements for a successful day. For us, this should be done in a relaxed and relaxed manner.

What do you give your guests?
Sailing on the WON119 is a combination of being outside, feeling the wind in your hair, sailing the ship together and enjoying the beautiful IJsselmeer, together with the people around you. We hope that you will step off board with the satisfied feeling that you had a great day.
